The transformative power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) - My presentation at CEC European Managers
Friday 6 June 2025 - 9:00 – 12:30 - Milan

Innovation and sustainability: managers for the future of Europe
Last Friday I had the privilege of speaking at an event organised by CEC European Managers, during which I shared some reflections on the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
AI is undoubtedly a revolutionary phenomenon, but we must recognise that we have not yet fully exploited its potential in our companies.
There are two main reasons for this:
- The speed with which technology is evolving makes it difficult for companies to predict, understand and acquire knowledge and skills needed.
- The traditional perception of AI, looking at it through a conventional lens, limits our ability to effectively integrate it into our business operations.
To truly harness AI, we need to rethink our organisational models and combine three types of intelligence: Human Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence and Organisational Intelligence.
This means fostering an open organisation in which decisions are based on knowledge and not hierarchy, with shared, fast and flexible leadership.
Creating environments in which these forms of intelligence can thrive is critical.
Without this transformation we run the risk of falling behind, despite the ongoing technological, social and cultural evolution.
Embracing change is not just a matter of survival, but an opportunity to be seized. As European managers, we have the responsibility to drive competitiveness and seize these opportunities.
Let us lead with courage and make sure we are firmly in the race.
