My AI Week speech on "Agents with a soul"

"For me, AI is not just a set of mathematical models, but a new key to rethinking the ways we work, decide, and collaborate."

This is how I introduced my speech at AI WEEK.
Just a few years ago, artificial intelligence was synonymous with machine learning and neural networks. Then came deep learning, and from there began the era of generative models, conversational assistants, co-pilots.
Each time we looked at the innovation and thought: well, we’ve reached the summit. But no. Each time it is just the beginning of something bigger.

Models follow each other in rapid succession, and it’s difficult, perhaps even impossible, to predict with any certainty what the next chapters of this evolution will be.
Companies are struggling to keep up with these transformations. It’s essential for organisations themselves to change and become flexible ecosystems, in which autonomous micro-entities collaborate using both human and artificial intelligence.

Just as I said a few days ago on the AI WEEK stage, this is where the concept of soul comes into play.
It enters the field not in only an abstract but also a concrete sense.
The soul is the organisation. The living structure that keeps skills, data, roles and relationships together. It is where intelligence - whether human, artificial or collective - takes shape and finds direction.
What should this soul be like? Open and able to learn, cross-fertilize and share.
Because AI, however powerful, is not enough on its own: we need a system to welcome, orient and govern it. We need an organisation that does not raise barriers between technology and people, between data and decisions, between silos and innovation.
